I love bringing new things to life. From launching the very first iOS apps for Adult Swim and prototyping connected appliances for Whirlpool to designing sophisicated charge management software for Synop or planning hybrid healthcare experiences for Exos Fitness and Livara Health.

I love to dance the physical and digital worlds through creating a 3D printed menswear with GothamSmith LTD or managing community space out of a vacant bodega for Specials on C.

I am always building, breaking, and tweaking new systems, experiences, and interfaces.

No experience exists in a vacuum. The specific context of any experience drastically impacts the perceptions, heuristics, and actions of all users.

Simplicity must be built from the ground up. Simple documents lead to simple code lead to simple designs.

User sophistication is constantly evolving. Build for the knowledge, desires, and problems of your users near future. Push new patterns that are only slightly ahead of today.

Congruency and Consistency

Consistent patterns build trust. Congruent systems build comfort. Both are valuable and should not be sacrificed for the other.

Entrepreneurship

GothamSmith LTD.

Launched a 3D Printed jewelry line on a shoestring budget which quickly expanding from prototype products to global sales and distribution at MoMA Store, Uncommon Goods, and The New York Public Library.

Specials on C

Created an organization to facilitate short term community use of vacant retail space within cities. Within one year of operations, we were able to host and facilitate over 34 events with an initial investment of $10,000.

NYU Tandon School of Engineering

Instructor for the ‘Site Specific User Experience Design' course, leading the students in the development of novel experiences built in physical space.

Huge UX School

Program director responsible for design instruction, project critique, mentorship, and hiring decisions for the 12-week hybrid educational internship program.

General Assembly

Instructed three sessions of the 12-week 'Introduction to User Experience Design' course. Developed custom workshops on topics including sketching, storytelling, and design critique.
